![]() However, just seeing the numbers, you might be having a hard time visualizing the variability. Descriptions or measurements are in Kelvin, but unless you’re familiar with the whole spectrum, knowing the Kelvin might not be of much help.įor example, a 1000k and 10000k LED light will have a noticeable difference. Since we already mentioned color temperatures, let’s backtrack and answer what it exactly is.Ĭolor temperature is one of the many ways to describe how a light source looks. It does not pertain to a light’s brightness, but it is a factor to be considered all the same. Today, we’re talking about color temperature. If you’re in search of a brighter light option, you’d want to look at the lumens. A 5000k LED light is as bright as a 6000k LED light. It should not come as a surprise that since we’re talking about lights, it seems likely that if there is any distinction, it would be the two’s brightness.Īt first glance, the human eye would also confirm this. Which One is Brighter Between a 5000k and a 6000k LED Light?įirst thing, first. Today, we’ll be putting the 5000k LED light and the 6000k LED light through six questions to see just how different they are from each other and how they might serve you. Are the opposing sides confusing you? Well, let’s clear up some things, and let’s check out these notions. Others say a 6000k light would be the best choice. Some say that a 5000k LED light would be better. What is the Difference Between 5000k VS 6000k LED Lights? By the end of this discussion, you’ll hopefully have a better idea of which one is the right one for you. Let’s get to know them and put them head to head. Today, let’s put the 5000k and the 6000k LED lights under the spotlight. I like the color on the GX and I would not want to go any "bluer" that's for sure.5000k VS 6000k LED lights? Can’t decide between the two? Well, allow us to help you with that. They are very bright and there is some glare since they are installed in a halogen projector, but it's not to bad since I think the projector does a pretty good job at focusing the light, but it pales in comparison to how focused the Morimoto HID projector makes the light - no glare at all. The 6th (next post) is of the Tundra and GX side-by-side. ![]() The 5th is a closer shot of the Tundra straight on. The 4th is a shot from the Tundra driver's seat and the light/cut-off projected on my garage. The 3rd is an off angle of the 5000k Morimoto's and DDM 4500k fogs. The 2nd is a close up of the projector retrofit I did which involve cracking open the light and modifying the halogen housing to accommodate the projector and shroud then resealing everything. The first is a distance shot of my Tundra with 5000k H1 Morimoto bulbs in a Morimoto Mini Projector and 35w 4500k HID DDM fogs. PS: not that I will be able to afford $500 for 2x HID kits again for a while. I never had anything like it before and I've had allot of HID kits. But I had two sets of Toyota OEM Denso Ballasts in the GX. My Morimoto harness was bad but the LED power bulb was cool. But 90% of all HID kits in the USA will be replicas. There is no 4500K in a respectable sellers list lol. There is a very LONG thread on HID Planet discussing this very topic. No they are chinese replicas of JDM HID's. Even the claimed Phillips HID for sale on various internet sites are NOT German. German - good luck finding a true German HID bulb. Yes the JDM products are better, hence why I suggested Morimoto's - known to be one of the better bulbs/products. Now whether or not they really meet the output is another story, but the same can be said for any cheap Chinese bulb, so it's not just 4500k. 4500k is certainly a point on the Kelvin scale.
